John Raythor is one of the three captains hired by Umbral Reach for the Expedition. Akin to Captain's malfunction that sent them to Galaxy's Edge, John and Keril also suffered navigation malfunctions and ended some systems away from the Frontier. They were ambushed when straying in Luminate Combine territory, and while Keril who was carrying the Command Cortex escaped, John was captured.
After the Captain releases him from prison, he joins the crew as an officer. John is an industrial expert and is proficient in skills from Combat and Industrial skill trees.
