The Workshop offers you the possibility to modify your Gear. The Workshop can be found at most Steel Vultures Stations.

Move the Gear you want to modify in the Slot or right-click it. After moving the Item you can see the Options you have.

In the left you can see your Item with its current Stats. You can reroll one Substat per Item. You can reroll the Substat how often you like. However, each reroll costs increasingly more Credits. The Substat is locked after your first reroll, so make sure to pick the right one!

The Workshop also offers you a way to remove or change a Aspect. Removing a Substat destroys the Item! Changing it overwrites the old Aspect, effectively deleting it. To change a Aspect drag and drop the Aspect from your Cargo over the Aspect you want to change.

You also can Upgrade the Rarity, the max rarity you can upgrade to will be shown when you hover over the "Upgrade Rarity" button.

Upgrade Level is +6 Levels of you Level. If you are level 44 the max level you can upgrade to is 50.

Extracting a blueprint works for each rarity. The max rarity you can extract will be shown when hovering over the "Extract Blueprint" button.

Rename item is self-explanatory.

Daily Request & Workshop Credit

All the workshops have a daily request for materials, which is the same across all stations. If sold these goods, they pay premium price, but not in cash - rather in Workshop Credit.

Daily Request Tooltip

This means, if the workshop requested Universal Catalysts, they would pay market price (2k) x6, a full 12k in Credit per item delivered. Requests change on daily tick, along with the Bar.

Along Daily request, most refined products can be traded in at x4 price multiplier. So, an excess of Durable Alloy - even if it is not the daily item - is better sold to the Workshop for credit (at 4x price) than in the shop, assuming one intends to use the credit in the near future.

Workshop Trade-in Tooltip

Workshop Credit is a stand-in for actual money for all Workshop operations - blueprint extraction, aspect changes, substat rerolls and so on.
