Meridia's Chosen

Meridia's Chosen are an unknown faction.

The Enemy

It is ironic that while Meridia's Chosen are constantly active, serving as a primary antagonist to the player and all the Factions (and especially the Darkspace Compact, which appear to hate them immensely), almost nothing is known about them. They formed after the Captain's attack on a Darkspace dissident compound that hijacked Metafiber shipments, but their manifesto, goals and intentions remain unknown. Midas does explain how "They seek to corrupt, as they did with the traitors" and that they seek to corrupt Metafiber, however Midas is not an objective observer.

They reside within Lucifer subsystem, deep in Darkspace, and while they initially split off with a portion of Conquest, they can be forced out permanently.

They have no dockable stations, offer no Embassy, have no representative, and will not engage in any dialogue. Midas will describe them as "crazed lunatics", but no information is given on who or what "Meridia" actually is.

Ships Manufactured

Meridia's Chosen use Obrix and Varlis Construct ships exclusively, similar to Darkspace Compact which uses only Obrix. However, as they have no neutral/friendly stations, they offer nothing for sale, and their ships need to be boarded and captured.
