Salvaging is the art of turning one men's trash into another men's treasure: Sun Tzu
Salvage types:

Salvaging consists of 2 types:
Surface Salvage: just scraps the hull and outer layers of a Ship.
Structural Salvage: Recycles the Core components and the Structural Internals of the ship.
Salvage/Wrecks can spawn when defeating Enemies or accepting Salvage Missions. Wrecks with Salvage Loot glow faintly in the highest grade of Loot.
Yield: Yield determines the chance to spawn Debris when damaging a Wreck, while Power affects how much damage you deal. As damage accumulates, reaching thresholds triggers Debris spawns based on Power. Higher Yield increases spawn chances and can be boosted by skills, crew, or equipment. With Yield Values over 100% there is a chance to create a second "drop" and so on, doesn't work with Equipment.
Each time you extract an item successfully, it penalizes the other remaining ones.
The level of the Wreck is based on the level of the Enemy. As with mining there is Surface Salvage and Structural Salvage.
The extraction chance is determined by the Salvage Yield.
Some me salvage fields currently don't replenish!
