The Patrol is a special Mission type available at Canisec stations. It rewards in Canisec Commendations (See Faction Currencies), as well as regular rewards.

The Patrol

Selection screen for the Patrol difficulty

Canisec offers the player to fly patrols for them, and destroy hostile pirates and other invaders.

The Patrol consists of traveling to a POI within the system, and fighting 5 waves of Enemies. Enemies will always be a Faction you have negative standing with or chose to be at war. Commonly, these would be Corsair Syndicate or Meridia's Chosen, but others can also qualify.

After successfully defeating all waves, 2 portals will appear (which are essentially just two buttons for the player to make a choice). The left one lets ECHO fly back to the Station you started the patrol from, thus completing the mission. The right one will fly to the next patrol position, at which point mission will restart, with enemies being 1 level higher, and reward will also be larger.

Player can continue performing this mission for as long as they like.

Note: ECHO cannot be enabled on Patrol missions.

The portals/buttons:

Difficulties

The Patrol can be ran under Normal, Elevated, or Extreme difficulty.

  • Normal: Starting enemies are based off current station level
  • Elevated: Starting enemies are based of current station level + 3 + player Patrol Rank / 2
  • Extreme: Starting enemies are based of current station level + 5 + player Patrol Rank

Each difficulty rewards higher rewards, and if fighting extremely difficult enemies, it is possible to spawn salvage wrecks containing legendary gear of higher level than is available anywhere else. Gear-hunting though this method will require the player to drop a 'Locator Beacon, and then return to the same spot with a salvage ship. Beware, chances of extraction on level 100+ enemies are miniscule at best, and take inordinate amount of time.

Patrol Officer Rank

Patrol Officer Rank

When defeating enemies and completing the mission, the rank will increase by 1 for every two extreme missions completed. Rank can be seen on the Captain's information screen.

Rank can be retired at any time by pressing the Retire button, in exchange for some Tokens. Doing so is recommended if the player cannot beat the enemies any more due to level increase.
