Within Conquest Zone the main method of payment is slowly shifting from cold, hard Credits towards Commendations, a.k.a. Tokens.

Player can already encounter different types of Commendations at Canisec (while doing Patrol), Orsanon Security (while doing Bounty Hunt), and Forge Industries (while doing Industrial Ops). Commendations so gained can also be bought directly from the respective shops of the aforementioned factions, though at exorbitant prices.

In essence, doing specialized quests will grant these tokens by the issuing factions.

Token Uses

Each token can only be used within the confines of the issuing faction's stations. Those stations have specialized shops - Patrol Shop, Bounty Shop, and Industry Shop, where they offer blue+ gear in exchange for these tokens. Of special note are the Industry Shops of the Forge Industries which will also sell rare purple blueprints in exchange for Industry Commendations.

Within Conquest, player is introduced to "general" Conquest Shops which function identically to the first three, but take Mars Commendations. Later, with the Umbral Reach quest line, player has the ability to establish Umbral Shops in all Conquest Stations (See Conquest Zone), which also use Mars Commendations.

Additionally, shipyards of conquest factions will sell Destroyers and other size-5 ships for a mix of Credits and Mars Commendations.
