Missions in Vanguard Galaxy come in many flavors, and reward many different quest rewards.
Mission types
There are following mission types player may encounter during the game:
- Story Missions: These progress the story and also serve as a tutorial to all the activity types player might normally do. For a spoiler-filled listing, see Story Missions.
- Skill Missions: Missions that enable skills and often grant Skill Points. Can be mandatory or optional. See Skill Missions.
- Mission Board: Available at any Mission Board at (almost) any station, these grant Faction Reputation, Credits, Items, and optionally Faction Currencies and Workshop Credit. These will be shown a yellow ! on the Station when the Mission goal is reached.
- Special Missions: These are specifically crafted for active play and nominally reward Faction Currencies in addition to regular rewards.
- Patrol - Patrol a system, hunt pirates.
- Bounty Hunt - Hunt a Pirate Leader.
- Industrial Ops - Mine, salvage, craft and fight at the same time.
- Umbral Missions - Daily repeatables for large rewards, one per station per day.
