Once upon a time, within Conquest Zone, many factions started to ask for their own kind of currency in exchane for their best hardware:  Commendations (a.k.a. Tokens.) where issued in several forms and names: Mars, Bounty, Patrol and Industry.

But in a rare display of cooperation, these different faction agreed that maintaining their own mintg and closed economy wasn't in anyone's advantage and they decided to switch to a common currency: the Vanguard mark. This unified token is now accepted among all the faction shops. In essence, doing specialized quests will grant tokens that can be redeemed anywhere in the conquest zone.
