Commendations so gained can also be bought directly from the respective shops of the aforementioned factions, though at exorbitant prices.

In essence, doing specialized quests will grant these tokens by the issuing factions.

Each token can only be used within the confines of the issuing faction's stations. Those stations have specialized shops - '''Patrol Shop''', '''Bounty Shop''', and '''Industry Shop''', where they offer blue+ gear in exchange for these tokens. Of special note are the Industry Shops of the [[Forge Industries]] which will also sell rare purple blueprints in exchange for ''Industry Commendations''.

Within ''Conquest'', player is introduced to "general" '''Conquest Shops''' which function identically to the first three, but take ''Mars Commendations''.
